Received a pair of Wells dies, 250-3000 in with some other reloading stuff. Can anyone tell me more about them?

They're pretty old. My first dies and press were from R. F. Wells in about 1951 or so. Believe they were some place in Minnesota and sold principally mail order. The castings for the presses were identical to the Herter presses popular about that time and also located in the same area. There were a couple grades of those dies and they worked fine. I believe the premium grade was called a Bystrom. I still have a couple of them but don't recall why I quit using them. Guess I wanted something I thought was a little better and at the time I didn't know what was "better", maybe just "prettier".

Wells was one of several small makers who suppled Herter's reloading tools. Good stuff but long out of business.

Thanks all. They came with a set of old Lyman 310 dies and tool, so makes sense their old. Look like RCBS, but lighter.
