I'm working up a 243 Winchester load using 90 grain Swift Scirocco's. What powder/bullet/primer combos are giving you the greatest accuracy? I'm will probably use it for coyotes or antelope. Thanks.

I am having great luck with 3031. Varget shoots good too but real hard to get right now. Good luck.

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

Not sure how it'd be with 90s, but H1000 and Ramshot Magnum both work extremely well for me under 100-grainers in my .243. Good luck!

Jeez--and I thought I was shooting a slow powder with H4831 and 100 grainers..... grin

Now you got me thinking, H1000 would be interesting to try.......

Thanks all for the help. I'm going to see how H4350 and Varget perform. I've never used H1000. I need to do more research on that powder. Thanks again.

I posted some of my load work up data in the post I linked, It was with moly'd 90SSII's and R-17 from my 243. That was with Win Brass and Fed210's.

I'm running Moly on my Scirocco's, so take that into consideration as well and back off accordingly if you try any of the R-17.

Shot a bunch of deer with them last week and was really impressed with the bullets too.

Not sure on the 243 yet as I just aquired my first. In a 6mm remington reloader 22 has worked the best for me.

In the two .243's I've loaded for, they like Varget with the 75 gr v-max, but for 85 gr and heavier bullets, H-4350 lit off with a fed 210 seems to be the ticket. I've used H-4350 with 85 tsx, and various 100 and 105 gr cup/core bullets with excellent accuracy.

I would choose a slow burner, something like RL19, N160, or 3100. Got plenty of powders in that range to choose from...
