I posted a photo of the Remington M40 Commemorative on page 1. If you were serious about owning a replica or commemorative M40, M24, M21 or M14, why don't you contact Remington or Springfield and get up to speed?

Lake City M118 7.62mm NATO Match not the same as M118 Special ball.
Lake City M118 7.62mm NATO Match is post 1980, using the 173-gr Sierra bullet.
M118 Special Ball is from the mid 1960s, using the 172-gr FMJBT.

Lee24, I'm well aware of the M40 Commemorative. I'm more interested in your claimed Wood Stocked M24 commemorative. I have spoken to Remington. They say it doesn't exist. Why don't you stop posting what you're skimming from Google? Lake City M118 7.62mm NATO Match is post 1980, using the 173-gr Sierra bullet.
M118 Special Ball is from the mid 1960s, using the 172-gr FMJBT. Wrong and wrong. ...and don't forget to explain how M60 HPT (High Presure Test) was used on the battlefield.

It's not that Liberals are unwilling to listen to another point of view, they are just simply amazed that another one exists.

1972 Lake City Match ammunition is just what it says: target ammunition, not approved for combat in 1972.
The U.S. military shooting teams were using ammunition with the 168-gr Sierra .308 HPBT match bullets as soon as they came out in 1959, but they were not authorized for military deployment until 1980.
Remington had some civilian sales of the M24 in the late 1970s and to law enforcement and some civilian sales in 1995-1996. If you find one for sale, the first thing to do is check the serial numbers for that date range, then call Remington to verify.
I already explained this in other threads you did not read, or comprehend, wmeek.
Again, you only know a very little, not even enough to be dangerous, just confused. The same applies to ChrisF. You guys are ignorant enough to think that everyone who does know something is "uniformed", because they know more than you do.

...that's funny, I was just thinking the same about you.
wmeek's probably taking you to task for your claim that his ammo should be loaded with a sierra bullet.
I'm taking you to task for your contradictory, disjointed and obviously outsiders uninformed information.
So again, tell us about the Commemorative M24 that Remington tells me is not existent, and how M60 HPT (High Pressure Test) was used in machine guns, then delinked for sniper use?

I didn't say that 1972 Lake City was loaded with a 168-gr Sierra, you dope. Read it again.
ODCMP was recently selling some of this. Buy some before posting about it.

lee24, there ya go name calling again! neither did i or chrisf: you said sierra, now you're saying not 168, which is correct, but i'm saying the 173 isn't sierra (i kinda spent time in the sierra factory back then and we would get and test 190's & 200's straight off the machines, and i know who loaded the match ammo with 168's for the amu high power team in the early '70s - care to guess? (hint: it weren't lake city))

Meaning he spends a fair amount of time on the trigger, mingling with others that do, and staying engaged in the real world of shooting. I'd have to give his word on guns and ammo just a taaaaddddd more credibility than yours Lee.

No boy, I'm not confused, you are. Let's see, pictures, outfits, creditability. You have it, Lee doesn't. I don't know squat about military rifles but I know how to tell an internet ranger and you're the real thing and Lee isn't. Be safe downrange.
If something on the internet makes you angry the odds are you're being manipulated

You mean this guy? The one awarding the wimbledon trophy?
When people face the possibility of freezing or starving there is little chance they are going to listen to unfounded claims of climate doomsday from a bunch of ultra-rich yacht sailing private jet-setting carbon-spewing hypocrite elites
