I beleive the Bf109's portrayed are the "G" model. There is no diagonal brace for the horizontal tail section. And rounded wingtips and tails makes them an F or a G but the telltale on the Gustav is the bumps on the cowl. Galland hoods could be fitted on either. Back in the day I could have likely told you the mark too.

Yeah, oldman42 once in a while puts up an entertaining or rationally informative post.
But he's kind of a like my first mother-in-law: She could be really sweet for a day (or less) but then she'd insist that beef had to be cooked well-done because cows have trichinosis,

When I invented the 109, I PURPOSELY put in full time cockpit illumination, to make them better targets for the .......
That's back when I was lunching with der Fuhrer on a regular basis, ....and working a deep cover assignment that I can't discuss.
Obviously my assignment paid off handsomely,.....though when I was discovered, I had to RUN,....all the way out of Germany.
I was a lot faster than, ....I just ran over the Alps, non-stop.
