I just got an email from Mark. The river is PERFECT for tubing, barring a freak flood.
He has also arranged for some hog dogs, so any of you tough guys that are interested in catchin' one alive or trying out that big knife will be in business. This will be done at night too!

He has also arranged for some hog dogs, so any of you tough guys that are interested in catchin' one alive or trying out that big knife will be in business. This will be done at night too! Their you go guys, just picture yourself running in the brush, chasing a hog at night hoping someone with a light cathes up soon.

I saw, fished, and enjoyed the Llano this weekend...
I have never, ever seen it flow better. Water deep blue and is flowing well...
This is also the best wildflower year I have ever seen in that part of the country. Unbelievable really. Truly breathtaking.
Snakes are out as well and some pork hit the freezer as well. Pics of all the above later...

I hope a few of the wildflowers hang in there for those who haven't seen them in Central Texas in spring. They are the Texas equivalent of New England in fall.

Son & I were headed up to Paris,TX one time years ago as the flowers were just busting out all over. Had to pull over and call the wife to try and share, took some pictures as well. Was one of the neatest things I have experienced.
