Not looking to sell coyote pelts, but would like to get a good winter pelt for personal use. Which bullet via a 22-250 1-14" twist?
Why is it called a double u, should'nt it be called a double v?

Nearly any bullet works as long as you stay off major bones.
I'm shooting a 243AI this year with 75 gr V-max's and so far it's done less damage than my 22-250 has done.
The 2 schools of thought are use a tough bullet like a soft point and deal with 2 holes or use a lighter bullet and drive it as fast as possible, hoping is comes apart inside and stays there. Stay off bone with both and neither work 100% of the time.

That's the beauty of coyote hunting. They are everywhere. If one gets blowed-up, just go git another........ More fun is had thatta way.

ST, I shoot the Sierra #1330 50gr out of my 223AI with great success in both killing them quick and minimal pelt damage. I would think it would work similar from your 22/250..

I have had great success (sm hole) using a 55gr v-max out of my 22-250 at 3600fps but there are many .22 cal bullets that will fit the bill. Now fox are a different story .........

53gr TSXs will do just fine a bit expensive but if you are wanting to save a pelt this will be the best or a 40gr Nosler Bts we shoot both and have good luck with both. Stay away from big bone but that is with all bullets. HAPPY HUNTING

50gr V-Max at 3700fps. I've had great luck getting an entry hole only with this load on coyotes.

Apparently, loaded with V-Max 35 grainers (well over 3,000 fps) there is usually no exit hole, which would seem good for pelts. Supposed to be pretty flat out to 250 yards.

Sierra 55 grain #1365 penetrate good, don't splash, and leave a small exit hole.
