Just saw a press release from Leupold warning about fake scopes coming out of China and being sold on ebay and other sites. They are almost undetectable from genuine Leupolds. The factory said they are beginning to get them in for free warranty repairs, and they are naturally not covered. All genuine Leupolds have a serial number, and you can call the factory to verify if a questionable scope is genuine or not.

On the bright side, they're probably coming from the same factories that also make Tasco, BSA, Simmons and mebbe another dozen Brand X scopes. ;O)
If three or more people think you're a dimwit, chances are at least one of them is right.
