Some friends and I shot some video targets (with blunt tips on a hanging screen) last week. We were only shooting at 20 yards but it was a lot of fun and a nice way to get in some cold weather shooting.

Anyone else try this? If not, what are you doing this time of year?

Yes our local archery store has one of these...pretty neat.

3 can shoot at the same time and it records your velocity too.

Techno hunt is what ours is called I think.

Yup. We shoot a winter league. 4 man teams.
You'll learn a lot about yourself and your equipment.
Pretty cool stuff!

Lots of fun, especially with a few friends, only drawback {to me} is no matter how far the target looks its still a 20 yard shot.

I've been shooting -outdoors- in 20 deg temperatures the past few weekends with snow up near my knees.
Re-sighting my old bow and shooting out to 75 yards and by looking at the club's sign-in sheet, I'm the only one who's been outside shooting since November?
They are all indoors, hitting the "spots".

We shot that years ago when it came out.. I don't recall how many years ago but I want to say that it was early 90s for sure... it was a fun game for sure, better than target practice, but still not like 3D shoots or live game. And we all need target practice of some kind IE repetitive shooting. Though with the use of peeps, releases and such, a bow is not any different than shooting a rifle fundamental wise, save for the weight of drawing it.

The games are fun for sure!

I've done some shooting in my yard but haven't done any serious shooting in a long time and am still pretty rusty.

I'm grouping ok on paper but still quite a ways off on the video targets.

I just found out it's legal to use a light on my sight to light up the fiber-optic pins and I'm planning on going that route. It sure isn't traditional archery but it's still a really fun way to spend a cold winter evening!!
