Name this bug, and yes I do know what it is.

I had backpacked into a wilderness area scouting out springs. Coming from the last one right at dark I almost step on a rattler that was buzzing me, it finally realized I couldn't hear it and jumped out of the way before I stepped on it, it was pissed. I tol'it I was sorry but it was pissed so I waved goodbye laughing and got to my tarp camp.

I shine my light and there's this thing as big as my thumb crawling on my tarp, I mean right on it, big pinchers on the front and UGLY!!!

I swing my hat at it to squish it but the tarp slings it out into the dark like a trampoline, I look but can't find it.

All I think about is that thing coming back and crawling on my face while asleep ..... Id'a screamed like a little girl ... F'n bugs.
