Between this and supporting McCain, I'm starting to wonder...

It is if you're not really a conservative and are looking for an excuse.
If that's your opinion, perhaps we need to take a closer look at your definition of a conservative. You do know a neocon is not a conservative, right?

It's impossible to take Ron Paul seriously.

Regardless of who came up with the term, there is a big difference between a traditional conservative and a neo conservative. The misrepresentation comes from the sloppy use of the neocon term on the part of the libs.

Only a neocon would say that, so now I know who I'm dealing with. A neocon is just another kind of leftist. Conservatives are those committed to sound money, a strict construction of the US Constitution, property rights, states rights, a non-interventionist foreign policy, retention of our nation's sovereignty and independence of action (i.e., no entangling foreign alliances or membership in international quasi-governmental bodies), free trade, free markets, decentralization, limited government, the rule of law, and along those lines.

Is it Ron Paul or his platform?

Examples of living (or at least alive in the last 50 years) conservatives? Examples of neo-cons?

The Idiot In Chief we have now sure as heck wasn't presidential material either, but HE got elected..

And she's got a ton more credits to her resume than the IIC currently stinking up the Oval Office..

I don't think she should run in 2012, but I'd sure like to see what she's ready for in 2016..
