I have a 280AI in the works. If you've got one yourself, what's your favorite bullet with it?

My idea for mine is an "all around" rig for any weather, any game (antelope thru elk). I want to develop one "go-to" round.

Nosler 120 Ballistic Tip. Just finished working up a load with the new Reloder 17. Have to chrono the finished results, but 60.5 grains gave me 3350 and I went up another grain, but it got too dark on me. I'm thinking 3400 won't suck.

160 gr Accubond at 3000 fps works for me. Either RL22 or RL25.

Watch those do-nuts! My 280AI with Nosler brass is the only gun I have that develops them. If I use 280 Rem brass and fire form then I don't get them. Go figure

With RL22 my rifle and I both like the TTSX, 140's shot a little better but I went with 150's( still under 1") since I was after elk as well as mule deer.

Woods,

What are the "do-nuts" you talk about. Maybe I am the only one who is missing something.
