Anyone ever seen a Marlin 336 with a gold trigger ?

I was looking at two Marlin 336's today- one had a gold trigger. The price seem right on both of 'em - $250.00.
Both of these rifles were equip with scopes.

Maybe a die hard collector would say something different, but I don't think it makes any difference in value.

Sometimes a distributer like Davidson's orders them that way.

Marlins left the factory with gold triggers around 1960. Exceptions were the house brand guns & Glenfields. SW

I have a couple 336's from the 60's with gold-plated triggers. You can still get a brand new 336 so equipped, also:

The gold trigger brings good luck, you know, so it greatly enhances its "user value". <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

My 1967 336 came with a gold trigger also, it's still gold after 37 years.

My 336 has a gold trigger and round bolt. It was mfg'd in 1976.
