My Sako 75 doesn't eject reliably. Regardless of how slow or fast I pull the bolt back, the case may eject, it may hit the bottom of my scope turret, or it may fall back into the magazine.

I called Beretta and they told me that they would most likely replace the extractor and spring to correct the problem as model 75s are prone to weak extractor springs. They said that a weak extractor spring will cause the case to fall out of the extractor prematurely when it touches the ejector blade. Since I have re-barreled the action with a custom barrel, I am reluctant to send it to them (most manufacturers dont take kindly to any custom changes, and Ive even heard of custom barrels being removed and sent back separately. I called Wolff Springs, but they dont make anything that little (.050 OD).

I would appreciate some help on this one. My gunsmith has looked also and can't find a stiff spring that small in OD. I asked if he could ream out the hole and install a slightly larger spring, but he is concerned that the tiny plunger may bind up if a larger spring is used.

Just send them the bolt, and tell them to replace the spring...

Is this what you are looking for?

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=31037/Product/SPRING__EJECTOR__SAKO_75

Or maybe this? Doesn't specify 75 though.

Anyway Brownell's is now carrying many Sako parts.
