What is the length and is the power of the scope marked anywhere? Guess to be 20 inches long and maybe a Stevens 338.

What is the tube length & diameter? It is 18 13/16" long and looks to be a 3/4" tube

TomA is real close with the 338, but the mount isn't right. Yours has the micrometer rear mount, so my best guess is the No.331 at 3.5x (circa 1911).
J. Stevens scopes were made from 1901 to 1929 & they offered alot of different models, 114 to be exact. Identifying your exact model can be difficult.
Nick Stroebel's latest book list the value of scope & mount at $850 to $1,500 depending upon condition.

You sure did do good! I've never seen one of those J. Stevens scopes ever, but have read about them. It is beyond KOOL..

Now I guess I have an excuse to get a period correct rifle to put it on! Any suggestions?
