What happened BD?

Don't worry Dave. I made it to 40 and beyond without doing a lot of excercise first. In fact, I just found out a guy from my hometown who is a excercise/sports nut had a heart attack in February. He made it through but is the last person you would expect to have one.

Tore the tendons in my foot, been having to go around with a damn boot.

This is putting me weeks behind on my outdoor projects this year and I am not liking it.

We'll be in the BWCA with the kids in about a month when I turn 40.

We'll be coming out of the boundary waters on the 18th which is my birthday & also Runs with scissors birthday.

So, for my 40th birthday I plan on carrying canoes on my back, heading in to Ely for a beer & a good meal with Pam & the kids.. Then probably on to my dad's place for the rest of the weekend.

Holy CRAP! You're old. Have a beer on the 16th and on the 17th when your're there Dave.

The 16th is my little guy's bday, and me and mama's 9th anniversery. The 17th is ol Tzone's bday.

When the little bugger gets older, we'll have to take a "birthday" trip somewhere. Fishin or sumptin'.

I switched to good whiskey years ago, You only have to lift a couple of ounces at a time instead of those heavy weight beer cans. Much easier as you get older.

Who had the heart attack? Do I know them?

Speaking of which my semi adopted kid bought me a bottle of bourbon with honey, I dont recall the name but is was smooth and sweet, with a kick you in the pants effect.

With all this talk of aging and recovery I thought I'd weigh in...lol. Last week while trying to go a little too fast I tumbled off the top step of the backhoe...and hit every step on the way down. At first i thought my hip was broke 'cause my leg went numb but its just bruised. I have a spectacular purple ass and hurt from head to toe but it will pass. Mama on the other hand had to try to outdo me on the weekend. While walking down a sidewalk in a pair of heels she dropped one in an expansion crack and twisted and broke her foot in a couple of places. Good news....they got the bone back in place without pins and surgery. Bad news...I have lost my first mate for the heart of the walleye season. Worse news...her disposition is that of a grizzly with a toothache. I need to get an add out right away....Female First Mate wanted, blond or redhead preffered. Must be friendly, charming,look respectable in bathing suit and not be afraid to smell like fish. I expect to be a long recovery...and a long search....

Take that dress back off TZone, doesn't mean you get to come out of the closet to be first mate!! he did say female!

Should we be contacting the coast guard SAR for you?

I like to fish. But I'm not blond or red head. I would not be caught dead in a swimsuit. So I guess it would not work out.

I whacked my leg on the tow hook of my beet truck last year, my leg was purple from the hip down past my knee, swelled up and started cutting the blood flow off to my leg. coulda been bad, but it wasn't. this is a heck of a time to be gettin injuries, we're supposed to get out and do more now thats its nice out. of course I have the day off today and its spittin rain here. so I'll probably clean around the house, maybe load some and make it out fishin this afternoon. I have yet to find a morel yet

Ryan have you looked into the Red Lake Falls Dams?

I am not sure how far that is from you but I have been told it is good for eyes and cats.
