I have my eye on a used .243 that has a Zeiss 4x32 on it. Seems like it has decent eye relief, and I need a scope for my Sako 375. I know the optics are first rate, but does anyone have any experience with fixed power Zeiss' on heavy kicking guns, especially this maodel? Also, any idea what the scope alone is worth?

I sold one for $400 about 3 years ago.

From my experience with different models of this scope, from the Hendsoldt Diasta 4x32, througt the Zeiss Diatal 4x32, practilally the same scope, the former steel tube and the later alloy(these from the sixties and seventies), to the last ones 4x32 made by Zeiss, the Diatal ZA (european model 26mm tube), and the Diatal C (american model 1" tube made in Germany) I can tell you the Zeiss Diatal is one of the best, if not THE best, 4x scope ever made!!!

Does anyone have an opinion on its ability to handle recoil from a sporter-weight (not safari) Sako 375 H&H?
