Congrats Kurt. Another whopper to go with the many great bears you already have.
Wish I was home chasing bears. Not many of those here in Charlotte.

So that's how your bears are all so big, you stretch them out by the nose.
Wait, there big on the ground too. Guess that just means you are the man when it comes to bears, and elk, and muley's. OK, your just a beast

Doubtful. It's too heavy and the barrel too long to be of much use...

I came to my senses and bought a kimber montana in 7wsm, shot with a moly TSX 120. I couldn't handle the recoil or manage to carry another 20 ounces in the field.

Alright....it was my turn! I wanted a brown one but a guy cant pass on one this big. Watched 3 grizzlys in this same area for about 2 hours prior to this one making his appearence. This bear had the biggest feet I've ever seen on a black bear....at least in Montana. Old boar with well worn teeth and not an ounce of fat on him. The shot was 450 meters with my lightweight GAP .308 shooting the 155gr scenar. Perfect conditions, dead calm and clean air. No way to close the distance without blowing him out... Went back the next day and broke him down and snapped a few more pics... Kurt, when do we leave for Wyoming?

Wow! What a nice bear. You shot my black one!!
Congrats!
I'm heading to WY next weekend, but will plan a bigger hunt in 3 weeks, the weekend of June 4th-7th.. it will be better then, hopefully the weather cooperates. Buy your bear license and conservation stamp on-line!
