Hope my brother got a tag. I might be heading to AZ this fall to give him a hand if he did!

Drew a Unit 31 November Coues' hunt. I'll take it! Don't have to hunt with just my camera this year!

Drew 36C December Coues along with my dad! It was my 2nd choice.
Hopefully I can locate the bucks I found during the javelina hunt in February chasing does.
My best friend also drew. He got Kaibab West early hunt.
Lot of work for us this season!

RedRabbit,

Thanks for letting us know AND posting the link. I hate it when someone starts a thread like this without a link!

Alas, no sheeps for me. Didn't expect any with only 7 pts...

What's funny is neither of us expected to draw 5% draw odds tags, figured we would build points and hunt leftovers together until we drew... and yet we both drew December premium tags separately on the first year of this new strategy... unreal.

Congrats buddy, I love how you will be on this hunt with your Dad, I'll talk to ya later.

Kent and Enrique,
Don't you just hate it when G&F messes up your plans to hunt leftovers?

If Nappy hadn't secured the border more than it ever has been, there would even be more leftovers in 36B <heavy sarcasm>

Doug, you with your elk tag and Enrique and I with our deer tags... It'll be a good year for us.

On another note I put out a cam for a couple weeks in one of my favorite hike in spots, though I won't hunt it this year, picked it up yesterday and here's a few pics.... I like the phase bear.

Tom, there are plenty of leftovers and they don't use your Bonus points.... If you don't mind hunting Coues close to the border.

You know what stinks is that my buddy Steve that drew the Kaibab tag drew his 1st choice with his girlfriend with minimum bonus points because he drew last year.
I drew with the minimum plus 2. Tag 109 and my pops 110.
A lot of left over tags. Shocked to see even unit 32 (which I like and was my backyard growing up)has left over tags.

Doug, you are right! I hate when azgfd messes up my plans, but glad I drew the tag I did. Times like this I am greatful for illegal immigration. If not for the big bad illegals that for the most part stay home for the deer season as opposed to the spring and summer months, I might not have drawn a tag.

The hunt will be tough no doubt, but hopefully the bucks I found javelina season will be moving around in December or I can see if the new flat I found that is huntable will produce something.

FYI if anyone would like to have their hunt filmed, my buddy George is filming hunts in hopes of putting together a video. He has some great fotage so far, but I figure if anyone wants their hunt filmed and an awesome hunter/guide/glasser to accompany them, let me know and I can give you his contact info or give him yours.

Nothing for me.....

I am bummed, but I don't really have the time available from work either. Burned most of my leave time with my Mom's hospitalization.
There is always next year I reckon.

Yeah, I know..I was actually on planning on getting a 36b leftover tag for Coues with Casey but got drawn for Illinois archery deer this year.

Kinda hard to do both with my business and all.

First a Montana mountain goat tag and now a 13A rifle deer tag, could it get any better than this?
