Just received my Surgeon 591 SA repeater today - these are NICE!!!
Waiting only on 2 more items for my .308 build: my Krieger barrel and my Manners stock. Once these two items come in, everything is being shipped to Robert Gradous to be put together.
Robert has been great helping me get all the correct components - this guy knows his stuff!!
Here's my build specs:
*308 caliber
*Surgeon 591 SA
*Krieger stainless 5R barrel = 22" long, #7 contour, 1-11" twist
*Manners MCS-T stock = 13.5" LOP with decelerator pad, custom paint in old style "Woodland Camo"
*Jewell trigger set at 2#
*Badger M4 bottom metal, Rem box magazine, follower, & spring
*All metal will be Cera-Koted
*Schmidt&Bender PMII 10x42 scope in NightForce Ultra-Lite rings
I'm anxious to get this bad boy put together!!

You drinkin Odoul's or Girls Light?? Your Mom brought over the Ole Milwaukee tonight. You should call the Plumber back over to remove the plunger from your azz and build a 7mm-08? Lol

Why the Cerakote? Gonna carry that thing up the mountains in Alaska, in the rain? I guess that WOULD help prevent rust...
I should have just bought a [bleep] T3...

Just got a look at one of those a couple of weeks ago. The factory cheek hardwear adds a pound. That stock is pretty close to a HTG, my all time fav. Still a very nice stock. As usual you optics pick is excellant. dave
Only accurate rifles are interesting.

The factory cheek hardwear adds a pound. Gut feeling tells me weight isn't really a big concern.

Weight is not a concern, but my Manners MCS-T will not have a cheek piece.

Hope you're only going to be shooting 250 yards with it. Can't wait to see it.

Jeff- Note the ......... I've read (more than few times - primarily in some hunting rifle thread posts) that the .308 is a pumpkin heaver. I likely should have used a instead.......
