There is no semi auto 22RF rifle that can compete with bolt action rifles used by the 22RF benchrest Shooters. The very best out of the box accuracy for a semi auto 22RF is the TC Classic. I watched a shooting buddy up here shoot a 5 shot, 50 yard group that measured 1/4" using a TC Classic. You can achieve that with a HIGHLY tricked out 10-22. I see that now guys on RFC are using threaded 10-22 barrels with all the bells and whistles that will shoot better than 1/4" for 5 shots at 50 yards. But, you don't see any of those rifles on the firing line in benchrest matches.

Here's my idea..... Remington 40-X single shot heavy barrel made in Sept of 1983 with the deep dark gloss bluing of old. Just got done pimping it out with a new Marksman stock and a Nightforce 5.5-22x56. Good looking 40x!! Feed it good, and it will deliver outstanding accuracy.

Mine is a Win. 63 auto, with a quarter rib, barrel band swivel and barrel band front sight, a Leupold Alaskan that uses Talley QD rings on dovetails cut into the quarter rib..It has a Talleys peep sight that also fits on the dovetails for iron sight hunting.
The stock is exhibition grade Russian Circasion walnut from Bill Dowtins oldworldwalnut.com. Gun has a oval cheekpiece with shadow line, Cresent butt plate, loads in the rear, omittied the side cut loading gate, rust blue and it shoots one inch on the average at 75 yards.
The Win. 63 is the most accurate 22 L.R. that I have ever worked with, a fact not real well known..I have owned dozens of them and they everyone shot well. I have another that is straight factory, an early 63 and it shoots an inch at 75 also, sometime considerable less.
