No Rooster. Not this year. I couldn't get it to work out. I'm going to hunt south of the Cities tomorrow, with Gophergunner and my little buddy Jack.

Gopher needs some meat in the freezer so we're going to see if we can help him out. I've never poked one with a muzzle loader, so it would be cool to fix that issue as well.

Are you headed up or sticking around home?

Today might as well be thanksgiving. I'm very thankful. I'm sitting on an oakwood ridge with my best buddy snoring at my side, looking for a deer dumb enough to come close enough to poke with a black powder rifle.

I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning!

awesome Tom!
I took my boy out this morning, had a deer shot before light from the road on the food plot we were hunting on public land. he didn't know what happened, he was just bummed we didn't get a chance at a deer. our muzzleloader season starts tomorrow, we'll likely go to a private ranch. I've had it with the public land crazies.

I'm so friggin' mad, I want to hit somebody. Tom and I hunted my spot in Lakeville I got permission for earlier this year. No luck, but that was okay. I had left a message with the owner earlier this week letting him know we would be in there. I always do. Called him this afternoon to thank him again, and let him know we'd be back after lunch. I reached him on his phone, and was informed that we would not be able to hunt there any more, because the other group that had permission to hunt there had ruined things for us. One of their guys took a "guest" in there who in turn showed up on another day with several uninvited "guests". As it turns out, they shot a deer, right next to his neighbor's horse stable (not on property they had any permission to be on.) There were multiple trespassing issues with his neighbors, so basically, he's been made out to be the bad guy because of the actions of these unscrupulous hunters. No wonder he doesn't want anyone to hunt there any more. I spent a full year cultivating this relationship so I'd have a nice place close to home to hunt, and now these azzholes screwed it up for everyone. No wonder property owners post their land. This really sucks. I hope they get arrested for trespassing if they ever have the balls to go out there again.

My apologies to Tom for how this got screwed up.

I honestly don't care a huge bunch for liverwurst. But I kind of miss it. Lol

Guess I'll go buy some.

Try it with a slice of raw onion & some salt & pepper.

YUMMY!

They would just pick a QB in the top three that every other team had rated in the 5th round anyway.

I got a little one sided 4 point with the muzzle stuffer yesterday morning at 9. I've passed up bigger deer this year but hey it's getting cold. lol

I gotta find a place to hunt with the front stuffer. I may have found an area. There were no cars there today. I'm going to bring it up on the Google and give it a look.
