I posted this in hunting rifles but, thought I might get better response here? I want to remove the Iron sights from this gun? I know the front bead is dovetail but, how is the rail mounted? I see one screw so far? Serial #69_ _ _ _ as far as I can tell it was manufactured 1974? The rear sight I assume is dovetail like my Rem 700??? Thanks for any help!!!

drift the front sight out of it's dovetail and there is another screw under it.

the rear sight on my .375 is screwed on with a single screw.

ok, this is the .375 with the folding rear sight, but the windage assembly is held in with one screw, and the base is held with another screw under the windage assembly.

if you saved the plug screws from the scope mount holes, they will fit the holes in the barrel.
