OK, after two years of use we sold our too big and too heavy and too old 9,000lb 1991 Terry 29ft trailer and want something easier to tow and in better condition. Glad I learned about low hanging limbs on narrow winding roads on an OLD trailer!! smile

Looking seriously at a 2001 Nomad LITE 25 footer. Seems to be in good condition, but we are really new at this stuff. Are These a good brand as in well made? Asking price on this one is $6300, thinking about offering $5500 cash. On line blue books seem to be of no help here. Input and thoughts appreciated. Thanks in advance, MARK

NADA values have become pretty useless given the economy and the glut of RV's on the market. I bought a 2006 29 ft KZ Jag last year in virtually new condition for $6500.00 cash. NADA retail value was $11 400.00, asking price was $8500.00. There are deals out there if you look for them.

That seems high around here, but I've found NADA to be useless as well. For some ranges it is really way over what the market is around here and at the bottom end it's normally about 1/2, demand for hunting camps at the low end drive it up around here I think.

It's hard to tell around here now. The FEMA trailers are flooding the market like crazy and if you search on craigslist you go thru page after page of them trying to find non FEMA trailers.

All I can tell you is my Nomad is still holding up and it's been through hail and back.

I bought it about 1991, dragged it all over Texas, all the way to Wyoming and back, and it's been sitting on my deer leases for the past ten years. It looks bad outside after sitting out in several hail storms but the inside is still good. The fridge quit and I replaced the water heater. It isn't a Air Stream, but I've gotten my money out of it.

THANKS! I bought the one we were looking at. Deer season starts in 8 days, could not be without one now could we? This one looks to be a unit we can use for a while. When Alimony pmts are over, we will probably buy a near new toy hauler type.
