A 1.7 X 10 (42mm) Z6 Swarovski tops my 375 H&H. It's an amazing scope! On 1.7 power - I can almost see half of my barrel when looking through it. No doubt that extremely wide field-of-view might some day come in handy if I ever have a "close-encounter" in the thick stuff! At 10 power, the view through it is a study of optical excellence.

I prefer the old 3X, M8 Leupolds on my bigger bores..They arn't 1000 yard guns, but I can easily see an elk or deer well enough with a 3X at 1000, to take a shot if I was amind to but it would have to be wounded for me to do that.
For some reason most hunters think power in a scope makes you a better shot when in fact it makes no difference at all on big game..At any range you put the cross hair where it belongs and squeeeeeze the trigger. The size of the target has little to do with good shooting, in fact at say 800 yards, you will probably use more discretion with your hold with a lesser power scope.
I have yet to see an instance where scope power made any difference in practical field shooting. I do get told, emailed of instances that can be made up in ones mind, but I pretty well dismiss them as the "what if" syndrome. I would agree with that. Amazing the amount of sub MOA groupage I get with fixed low power scopes, as in 2.5X.
I am..........disturbed.

I have a Win 70 Classic Stainless .375 H&H, and have Talley bases with QD rings to be used with a Vortex Viper 2-7x32 scope. Right now I'm just using the open sights on the .375 as itis accurate out to 150 or so yards and handy to carry in the woods at a weight of 8lb/10oz. I'll probably go ahead and mount the scope though as my 'old eyes' aren't quite as good with open sights as they use to be... I've used the Viper scopes on other rifles and have been very pleased with their overall performance.

I went ahead and mounted the Vortex Viper 2-7x32 using 'low' Talley QR rings. Plenty of bolt clearance, even with the low rings. Makes for a nice package..

my biesen built 375 wears an old redfield wideview in 2-7x........works good enough to throw down some sub moa groups.....not what I dream of forever, but it is paid for. High country, I have the same scope on my Browning .375 H&H both the rifle and the scope were built in 1971. I keep wanting to upgrade the glass but have'nt because it works.

oddly enough it almost seems fitting on there. I wish it were not a new rifle, then it would be more appropriate.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

Another vote for the Leupold 1.75-6x32, mine has the heavy duplex reticle.
