Merkel has a break open single shot very similar in appearance to the Blaser (k95?). The model designation has changed from K1 and K2 (a more expensive and I believe steel version of the K1). Now they're calling these guns the k3 and k4. Does anyone know what the difference is between the K1 and the K3 or the K2/K4 (fancy grades) that explains they're new designation or have thoughts on the merkel vs. Blaser? I believe the k1 (now K3) uses aluminum in the receiver and was available in some pretty high pressure caliber loadings. I'm concerned that perhaps they found it too high and changed it or reduced the caliber offerings. (As I say it I doubt that as Merkel's not exactly Joe's Garage and this action's been around for more than a century. Any input would be appreciated.

I think JB has a K1 in 308. May want to ask him about long term life.
Everything you now do is something you have chosen to do. Some people don't want to believe that. But if you're over age twenty-one, your life is what you're making of it. To change your life, you need to change your priorities.
