I've got a browning low wall in 44mag and I really like the tang sight...but the apeture that I've got for it is not really good in low light...it has a dove tail that is not being used...I'm wondering if the #95 sight from Marbles would work for a backup sight in low light...it's a flip down leaf sight with no elevator...anyone with a low wall have any input or suggestions...

I have the same Low Wall in 45 Colt. I use the standard open sight for all my shots to 50 yards. You have to set the sights all the way down to get there. But they work great to 75 yards, and in low light conditions. I can not use any style peep at distances past 50 yards or so in low light.

I use the factory mounted tang sights for shots at 75 yards and beyond.

There is a point where you see the rear sight in the tang. You just need to learn your distances. If I want to use the tang for shorter shots then I also have to contend with the rear barrel sight. But I do not have a problem with that. I have just practiced with it a good bit, and it has become second nature.

My rifle is strictly a hunting rifle, so itty bitty groups are not important to me.

Minute of deer at 200 yards is more than accurate enough for me in that rifle. I do most of my practicing at distances from 150 to 200 yards in a small rocky area. So I do alot of rock chunkin with this rifle for practice. Iffin I can hit a 6" rock at 200 yards off handed then a deer is dead meat at 200. Notice I said "iffin".

If you buy that rear sight please give us a report on it. It does sound like a good idea. Tom.
