Sports authority or Scheels imported some varmint models a year or so ago.
I snagged a 204 ruger Varmint T3
I also have a 204 varmint that I had scheels send to my ffl, it was quite a chore to find this gun as they are very very rare in the US.
forget about being able to get a tikka in anything other than standard calibers in the lite model and 223-22-250 and 308 in the varmint models, unless you buy it out of canada, FORGET ABOUT, don't try to call anyone at beretta because they suck, just accept the fact that whomever runs beretta USA's customer service does not want anyone to bother then they are out playing golf or something. heck I couldn't even find anyone to send an email to. beretta does nothing to promote tikka, they are not interested in offering new calibers that people will actually buy, case in point 338 federal, a big WTF is what I have to say about that, and I was right it was a total flop, the 204 would have been a way bigger seller but they don't offer it. the only good about the whole deal is the tikka rifle itself and the accuracy. besides that, everything else sucks. I even think the A7 is a joke, they should have just promoted the tikka line with more options. but in their eyes why not sell a rifle that has a few more bells and whistles but IMO isn't as good a design for $300 bucks more.
if I owned beretta, everyone at beretta usa would loose their job tomorrow, operations would be shut down until the entire USA operations were revamped.
