This rifle was made in 1965 and is in really good shape. It has not been altered in any way. It also comes with a 3x9x40 Redfield scope that is from the same time era. It has the rings and bases that flip to the side in case you have scope problems you can use the sights. The redfield scope is the MADE IN DENVER COLORADO . These are collectable and were as good as Leupold at that time. Scope looks new. Selling for $650 for the setup ready to go shooting.I am in Anchorage Alaska so will have to ship to your dealer if interested.
For the guys that are looking for light weight rifles for hunting these are pretty hard to beat. Plus you still have good power in the 308 without getting your teeth jared loose. I hunted with my DPMS AR-10 in 308 last year and stopped a 53in bull moose at about 150yds with one shot. The model 88 are nice fast handling rifles. Only selling its too nice of gun and hunting in Alaska can sometimes be pretty demanding on a rifle and if I broke something it would be harder to fix and not lose the value of the gun
