Previous owner said it was a Pac-Nor barrel he decided not to use. This was about the time people started using fast twist barrels. He said he never installed it, so I believe the barrel is unfired.
After keeping it for years, I've decided I have too many projects. I'd rather buy powder and bullets and go shooting.
The shank is set up for a thicker recoil lug. You'll have to measure on your receiver, as there are several aftermarket lugs near 1/4 inch. I screwed it into a receiver by hand a couple of times to check the lug, but don't remember the exact thickness I needed.
Rem 6mmBR new brass will drop into the chamber, so I don't think it is a tight neck, but that is something else you will need to check.
