That one in the picture was right around 14 foot in diameter at the butt IIRC.

Northern tip of the Charlotte's circa 1980. At that time I was a riggin rat, mostly RW rigging slinger or SS Hook and Rig. 90 foot Madills mostly. Last couple of years in the woods I spent on a saw.

At that time we were in a virgin watershed. The fishing was as incredible as the trees.

I always viewed Tramp Logging as getting paid to go on Safari, because that's exactly what it was.

If the rumor mill said that the Hunting or Fishing was better somewhere else,I simply pulled the pin and went to see for myself. If the money was better,I did same. Tramping was in my blood and I loved every minute of it.

Pullin' Riggin' is the best job in the Woods, after Cutting.............

This is beyond my ability to translate. What does this mean? I'm sure it's colorful and maybe even poetically so.

Don't be pizzed because my pictured Salvage, will outshoot your fancy [bleep].

Blue denotes a Cabela's WHUPPIN' Stick and ain't to be made light of...the Loomis sticker is to prevent theft. Black denotes a Cabela's ProGuide Series and is Loomis stickered, for like reason.

Purchased the Cod at Safeway!................
