My dad used these (converse 6" desert boots w/ zipper)on our Buff hunt in masailand last fall, and loved them !!!!

He couldn't stop raving about how great they were. I just wore trail running shoes most of the time.

A bunch of Infantry grunts have worn zipper sided boots into the field one time. They can tear you up.

Here is my current favorite hot weather combat boot.

I wore out a pair of Oakley's way to quickly. Replaced them with a pair of these and will do the same again on the next deployment.
