Some time back I was having at it with some 30/06 buddys. I said you want to talk about power did you ever notice the craters in the moon, Yep they were put there by me and my 270WSM. On another day I told them that I hate letting a half truth stand, and that in truth some of the craters were already there with only the really big ones being mine.

EVERYBODY is pro-gun, some just don't know it. When an anti-gun person is in trouble, the first thing they do is call 911 and demand that they send somebody with a gun!

Caliber is trivial. For lunar shooting the real question is....Conquest or Leupold?

I don't dare shoot at the moon. I'd deflate it.

Ok how bout a little help from the 270 gang. By the way scintists are always trying to figger out what causes solar flares on the sun? Yep the reason is knowed only by me and my 270. Also just for the heck of it I once fired my 270 straight into the ground. You guessed it that spot is now the only active volocano in WV.

If I walk up to a creek/river/pond/ocean with my 270, the water will part and I can walk across without getting a drop on my boots.

Just got a news feed this morning from AlumenGore13 blog:
A 24hourcampfire member's .270 Win. shot caused the recent huge sunspot flare that astronomers reported.
note: The shot was not the WSM version)

The 270 has sure saved me lots of money by not ever needing to buy any more ammunition after my modification.
Upon firing, a spring-loaded cartridge shoots a 20 inch wooden dowel out the muzzle for about 4 inches. A small flag then unrolls. On the flag it says in large letters "270 Winchester." Deer up to 400 yards away fall in their tracks, DRT.
And, no damaged meat.

My 30-06 is so powerful that I have to be careful when I shoot it Eastward because it will stop the rotation of the earth.
