The Classic model 700 in the .257 Bob has a 24 barrel and is a LA so you can seat the bullets out to get all the velocity a Bob can give. I have never shot this rifle or mounted a scope on it, I bought it off one of the auction sites and it has been sitting in my safe. There are a couple very light handling marks on the stock or it would be considered as new. The receiver and barrel are in as new condition. It appears the gun has not been shot or used much at all. E-mail for more photos.

I assume this is a ADL version from the (1) pic? Correct? Please send pictures of all sides and angles to mikemtls.net

Thank you

Rugermike: None of the Remington Classic line of 700's were "ADL" models - I clearly see a floorplate and floorplate release button in the linked to photo.
Free bump.

VarmintGuy... thanks for giving the correct answer to the question for the seller to answer...?

I knew this but most people do not.....? This was only offered in the 1982 version as well... for the 257 Roberts caliber.

JFYI VarmintGuy..........

This rifle should have sold quick.
The early Classics(limited run models) were made well, and better attention was paid to production detail.
I own one,and know a couple of others lucky enough to have one also. They are great shooters right out of the box, and yes they were only offered in 1982. I had one in 220 Swift also (later run of the limiteds), and like my Roberts it's a great shooter.
Several on the "VarmintHunters" board own and have have posted about these rifles, and all report very good to great accuracy.
You might want to post it there, as several wanted this model over the last couple of years, and the production was only 5000 so they are a bit hard to find.
These are true Classics, and sell for a premium.
Bump for a great rifle that's a good buy with hope this helps.

Second year of the limited Classics which were introduced originally in the ol' time cartridges. Nice straight grain walnut; American classic - perfect vintage 700. Dang - that was 29 years ago... Wish I could... OT

Whoever buys this rifle will love it. I own one and it shoots W748 and 70 grain Starke bullets at 3600 fps. Very accurate and versatile.

Rugermike: If you (rugermike!) knew the "correct answer" then why did YOU (rugermike!) ask the question?
I answered YOUR question because the answer was obvious to me and I thought I would be helping out a person (rugermike!) who was interested in the Rifle but did not KNOW the "correct answer" ALREADY to the question YOU (rugermike!) was asking.
Sorry I could not read YOUR (rugermikes!) mind.
Perhaps you are just cornfused a lot?
Another bump for a nice Rifle in a nice caliber.

I'm almost glad my lovely governor of WA instituted a use tax equal to sales tax on rifles, keeps me from buying stuff..... I have a STD McM and a Hunters edge for this.....

OK guys I am either going to sale this rifle or put it back up. My bottom dollar price shipped on this is $700. Not $675 or $690, $700.00 or it goes back into resting in the safe.
