$700 is a very fair price for a truly nice 308F. Assuming, 98% bluing, no tang cracks, no sling swivels, etc. The 308 holds a decent premium over the 300.
My guess is it will sell here.

It looks new to me I'd prob let it go for 700.00 after reading the comments on its value. i've seen may at gun shows and none looked as good as this one and they were going for the range of 700.00 to 900.00 I can email anyone interested pics just email me at [email protected] Is this the same gun? A rare instance in which I agree with Lauren.  I too would rather hunt with a bolt gun with scope than a 99 with scope. To me a 1899/99's charm and hunting utility stems from its downright handiness to carry without a scope.
