I've got 4 sub moa .284 rifles, two of them 7-08's. I've never had a hard time.

you know that 260 will penetrate where a 7mm will just bounce right off....admit it! laugh

Chuck Norris invented the 260.

I also have a 6.5x55, I could live with any of the 6.5, .277 or. .284 caliber cartridges based on the .308, Swede, 30-06, .284Win or 7x57 cases.

If there were anything Chuck Norris couldn't kill with his fists, he'd use a .260

I don't see enough difference between the two to sell one and buy the other. If you want less recoil get a 243 Winchester

They're both okay for starter rifles.

Now a 243 does suck past 300 from a power perspective.

However someone pointed out correctly you have to go up pretty high in the 7mm-08 to match the ballistics of the 140 grain 260.

Lol! Is that so?

Ive won a few tactical matches with a lowly 7mm08, beating more than a few 260s, 243s, and 308s. 162s @ a shade over 2700fps via 22" tube leave little to be desired.

There are alot of tac rifle shooters movin to the 7mm08 for the obvious reasons...
