I have some 155gr Lapua Mega RN bullets that I would like to try in my Featherweight 6.5x55. I'm looking for load recommendations. Thanks, Ken

.5x55mm Swedish in a Winchester Model 70, 22-inch Barrel

Warning! Notes: Test rifle was a Model 70 Winchester with 22-inch barrel and 3-9x Tasco Variable scope in a Weaver mount. Loads were chronographed with an Oehler Model 33 and Skyscreen III System. Velocities corrected to muzzle from the instrumental taken at 15 feet. (Rifle Issue #170 - March, 1997)

6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser (22-inch barrel)

Warning! Notes: The 6.5x55 used to shoot the load data was made by Sisk Rifles based on a Ruger Model 77. The 22-inch barrel was made by Lilja and all metal parts are covered with a black matte coat of Fit 4 Duty CeraKote. Everything is held in a High Tech synthetic stock. All loads were fired with Winchester cases and Winchester Large Rifle primers. Groups are three shots. These loads are intended for rifles of new manufacture. Reduce powder weights three grains to start for older rifles. (Handloader Issue #247 - June, 2007)

I believe I have some of these bullets. Someone from this site sent them to me a couple years ago to try. I didn't know they were sending them, then I moved to another town. The package was forwarded and took literally 3 months to show up at my new place!

Anyone, at that time I forgot who sent them, and tried to remember at the time and couldn't. Belated thanks...

R22 has worked well for me in the past. In the future I'm going to try Ramshot magnum and h4831. Got an action and barrel at the smith becoming another 6.5x55 and plan to shoot the mega out of it.
