Decided on the 150 TTSX as an all around load for my A-Bolt 300wsm. My first choice of powder (H4350) is unavailable. I do have some Ramshot Hunter available,so that is what Im gonna go with. Trying to get ready for spring bear season here in Montana. Anyone using this combination? I like to have one load per gun. What are your thoughts on the bullet choice. Game hunted will be Antelope, deer, elk and blackbear.

What kind of velocity are you getting, sounds like 3300 fps is a realistic goal. I see in the nosler book they also used 4064 with the 150 and it was the most accurate. Prolly dont need a real slow burning powder for the 150. I cant seem to find any load data with Ramshot hunter, and cant get my hands on any H4350 at the moment. What load did you settle on with the IMR 4350

Has anyone played with Ramshot Hunter and the 130gr TSX? There is no data on the Ramshot web site for this combo.

My 300 WSM does well with both H4350 and R17. R17 is what I've settled on for the time. The 155 Scenar shoots very well and it's what I'll have loaded for this springs bruin season.

The barrel on my 300 shorty mag is cut to 23" and I can get to 3300 and then some with a max load of R17. But, it's just too hot for my liking. I dropped back a couple 3 grains and I get bug holes and plenty of speed.

I'm running a M1 on top in a 3-10 Leo so I'm not worried about having enough gas.

Hey Dober glad you chimed in. what load did you settle on with the Re-17 and the h-4350. Im trying to scale down to one powder for the 3 rifles I load for. 7mm-08, 270 win, 300wsm. On your recomendation I tried h4350 in my 7/08 and it shot lites out. Im thinking Ramshot hunter may be really good in all three as well.

Nice pic of the color phase black bear. got any more pics?

While you wait for dober to answer your question, I thought I'd add my experience with H4350 with my 300 wsm:

One thing I can say about the powder is it is very consistent in my rifle and produces pretty good accuracy. It should also work very well in your other rifles (270 and 7-08).

aceman-my rig is liking 67-69 of R17 with the 155 Scenars. I'm using a M1 turret on top so see no need to push things so am thinking 67 will be the go to load.

R17 shoots lights out in my 788 carbine in 7/08 as well.
