I'm surprised not too many folks have chimed in here. I think there are a lot more veterans on the campfire.

Thanks to those who did and thanks for serving.

Don

USAF
1954-1958
Basic:
Lackland San Antonio TX
Training:
Jet Aircraft B-47 Bomber Mechanic
Amarillo TX

Served:
Korea-1954-1955
At K-2 Taegu and K-55 Osan
In the 310th Fighter Bomber Squadron
With F-86F

1956 went to Gieger Field Spokane WA
In Aero Maintenance on F-86 and F-102

Took my discharge and always wondered
if I should have stayed in. No jobs for
Jet Mechanics as there were no commercial
jet aircraft in the Northwest at the time.
Even Boeing had a big layoff at the time.

I did well after going back to school after
my discharge.
Went for Electronics shooling on GI Bill.
