Intriguing.

My loads for the 30-06
150gr nosler part. 52gr IMR 4064 210m fed primer R-P brass
165gr nosler part. 50gr IMR 4064 210m fed primer R-P brass
200gr nosler part. 57gr IMR 4831 215m fed primer R-P brass

These loads have served me well over many hunting trips out west both in the US & Canada. The 200gr load is a very hard hitting load and very accurate. I have taken a dall sheep and a tundra grizzly in the Youkon, one shot each with complete penatation.

For my Husqvarna 1640 I use these loads and they both shoot exactly an inch group every time (and also to the same POI so I can swap between them at will)

180 grain Interlock SP with 57.5g of H4350
Federal brass / CCI primer OAL 3.25
Chrony: 2819fps

150 grain SPBT interlock with 60.0g of H4350
FED/CCI OAL 3.25
Chrony:3018fps

That 200 NP load looks about 2 g on the heavy side esp with a F215M. Any pressure signs on that? what type of rifle are you running that out of and what velocity are you getting? Thinking 2600+

In my Model Six Remington, a VERY nice accurate load is a 170 Rem RNSPCL over 46 gr IMR 4064 in neck sized Federal cases CCI 200 primer OAL 3.19( yes its alot of shank sticking out of the case...) Chrono'd velocity 2380 fps and consistent groups of 1 1/4 inch or less at 100 yards. One group center to center was 5/16th inch for 3 at 100 yards. Nice deer load and its easy on the shoulder too!

I have a new one that I discovered for my Weatherby U/L 06, RL-17 56.5 grs, Fed.210 M primer, Winchester brass, 168 gr TSX @ 3.280". Chronographed at 2932 avg.

JOC was right. The 270 Winchester on a Model 70 is a great combination as is the 30/06 and 375 H&H

165 SST 0r 168AMAX or MK, 50grs RE15, 210M or WLR primers, rem. brass. H4350 didnt work for me.

Here's what 50grs RE15 and an 168Amax will do, um, this is 3 shots @300yds.

I've always had good luck with 56grs of IMR4350 over any good 165gr bullet.

I also have had good luck with H4831 and Rel-22/WXR under 180gr Nosler Solid Base bullets.

Here is a load that works well in my 30 06

200 grain Nosler Partition

55 grains of RL-17, WLRP, Norma brass, 2755FPS.
This load is always begging for tight groups.
No pressure signs observed.

My gun has a #2 Lilja 3 grove 1~11" twist cut at 24"

Your done my friend. No other rifle or load necessary for the balance of your days. Go hunting and enjoy your rifle.

Max loads with WW760 and either a 150 or 180 gr bullet were traditionally the best in my '06 but lately have been running IMR4350 with 150's and 200's.

And I started with IMR4350 and graduated to H414 and RL22. laugh That's the great thing about reloading - it brings about a constant state of flux.

I will be developing some 180 grain hunting loads for the first time and could use some help with powder selection. Which two powders would you select to start with? Thanks...
