I ran one in 7-08 for awhile, would run one again. Got this one for college graduation back in '98. 7mm-08, just put the Talley Ultra Lows on a while back. Leupold 2-7 with aluminacaps. Olive mcschabel edge, leupold 4x33 in qd talley rings. At 6lbs without scope that 350 should be pretty snappy!

I recently tried a Model 7 for the first time and it quickly became my favorite rifle of all time. Schnabel forend and all, it fits me like a glove. Specs are 308 / McMillan M7 stock / #4 Krieger @ 20". My dad bought it for me when I was 13, still has taken more game with it than all my other rifles combined. Now that I am married I bought a McMillian Edge stock, fluted the barrel, and topped it was a VX-3 in talleys and my wife uses it. I'm goin to look at a model 7 in 308 today I just wish they still came in a stainless finish. maybe I'll find a used one while I'm at the gun shop

This was my first "real" hunting rifle and I've taken more deer with it than all of my other rifles combined. David
