It's gonna happen some time next summer, so start planning NOW to be part of it!

As time goes on, let us know what dates you won't be able to make it, and we'll build a menu of good dates, and you can then let us know which ones will work best for you. That way, we can set whatever date will be best for the biggest bunch of us.

Now that just about everybody here knows about Quemado Lake and its environs, we'll probably have an even bigger crowd (more good fellowship with more new friends), with a larger variety of guns to drool over, and a number of very special Campfire people who for one reason and another couldn't be part of our glorious 2011 bash.

So don't wait until next year to start thinking about it and planning to be in on it.

The sooner we can nail a date, the firmer I can lock it in.

Of course! That's true for everybody.

But that's not the only consideration that matters.

The sooner that you plan in general to be in on next summer's Quemado Lake shindig if possible, the more likely it is that you'll evaluate other possibilities in the interim with this affair in mind.

Otherwise, you're more likely to commit yourself to other possibilities that arise in the interim, without considering the later possibility of coming to Quemado Lake.

IOW, you might well commit yourself firmly to something that you'll later wish that you hadn't.

I have an open calender as long as family responsibilities don't come up, I am retired ya know. I never expected the boys to need a ride to a tutor at 5.5 years of age!

I just hope that next year at this time, I won't be hearing the same old stuff like "If I'd known about this earlier, I wouldn't've bought tickets to the Goons game."

Yep, a road trip sounds fun, especially visiting with the folks in question. smile

No way I could do it this summer, too new in the job, and we're short handed to boot. It's a hard day & 1/2 each way for me, even with generous speed limits, but I sure would like to do it next year.

Count me in!
Right now I don't have a date that would conflict with anything, so I'm open and plan on clearing my calendar to make sure I'm there!

I'll be there, provided my boss doesnt make any plans for me.

Why don't we just start out with the same weekend next year??
