My brother in law has expressed interest in a real time game (video/still)camera system. He wants to open his lap top and be able to see live action. I figured if there was such a thing the Fire would be the best place to find out what the best set up is. Money isn't really an issue with him and the camera(s)would be set up on private land so tampering isn't really an issue either. Thanks Doug

I know moultrie has some that you pay a monthly fee for for x number of minutes. Sort of like setting up a new phone plan. Tom

Real time will require either his own radio system or cell phone technology. Battery life would be reasonable if the sending units are only switched on on demand.

There is such a thing, but I don't know of a prepackaged commercial situation. The owner of a ranch I worked on had it's own internet system, and placed cameras at many of the feeders, using uplinks to send live footage to the owner's computer in Houston.

Moultie does have such a solution called Game Spy, maybe others. I think they require a transmitter per camera. http://www.moultriefeeders.com/catalog.aspx?catid=game%20spy%20game%20management%20systemI loooked at a new product at the World Deer Expo this weekend from Cahaba River Products. http://www.cahabariverproducts.com/It was interesting in that it used one transmitter that you could hang up to 8 cameras off of within 1000 yards and switch between the cameras remotely. It ain't cheap, $800 for the base station plus the remote cameras and the monthly cell service fee.
