"How do you know that to be true" (grins)

Like many things, they'll prolly run in some, not in others.

There is always the 52 A-Max, which I've never had any 1-14 fail to spin, plus they seem to puff up nicely.

There has been a couple of guys on other forums that have claimed they got them to shoot in 14" twist barrels. I sent a few to a guy from Maryland that wanted to try them and gave the rest of the box to a friend who has a 9tw .223. Haven't heard how they shot for them.
It was worth the price of a box of bullets to me to try them.

Shooting them now out of my 1:9 Hart 223 AI AR. Getting 3500ish ot of 'em , and they're shooting great. My new coyote load. Shot 1 at 125 last season, impacted point of shoulder 1/4ing--no exit.

BC's rated at .29 which...IMO...isn't that much greater than the .27 most others are rated for...so if u already gots plenty of the plain vanilla 55 polymers i wouldn't waste the time until u run out.

They shot great from my 223 1/9twist, but not so well out of my Tikka 22-250. I agree with sscoyote, they are not something to get overly excited about, but they were fun to try. T.S.

Well I gave 50 bullets of them a work out in two different 22.250s this afternoon...

used two different powders with them....

the new Alliant AR Comp...real keeper in one rifle.. so/so in the other...max load posted by Alliant for that powder..

the other is an old standby for me.. a GoTo load...a powder most modern up to date trendy gurus will say it is too fast for the 22.250...

Reloader 7.... well, once again, got that 3 shot cloverleaf at 100 yds... followed by two more shots that opened the group up a hair as the chamber heated up as they were shot in fairly quick sequence...

gentleman had a Pact Chronograph set up, so he let me fire one over it, and it clocked in excess of 3600 fps...

I'll point out this barrel is 28 inches long...and has a one in 12 twist, Stainless Pac Nor barrel, heavy magnum contour...

That rig was standardized on the 52 grain Speer HP, and the 30 grain charge of RL 7... once the last 6 boxes of those bullets I have are shot up, I am migrating to the 53 grain V Max here...

Nice to hear Seafire...I cant imagine the 53 gr. Vmax not shooting in a conventional 1 in 14 .22-250...

Went out with a buddy's relatives a couple months ago and got some great groups with that bullet out of my AR on steel at 300 yds. It'll be my go-to coyote killer this season.

Ordered 1 only box to try in a 1/14 Swift with a nice 26" barrel - if it works great, if not and if I have any left I'll try them in a fast twist .223. Maybe the long ogive will be good for chasing the lands as the throat erodes?

I guess the 1/14 Swift is not just retro but obsolete?
