Many americans in my position complain about living in europe. They can't get used to not having walmart 24/7 or having to cross a language barrier or not being able to do the things they love.......I think mostly they just like to complain, cuz i'm having the time of my life.

@jagd:
Have you ever participated in one of those NATO hunts in fall in northern Hessen close to the Knuellwald?
I only took part in one of those driven hunts once but there were quite a few officiers and NCO from the Rhein-Main area there.

No, they think that the USA is the world

Canada by choice, British by Blood

People think there's a rigid class system here, but dukes have been known to marry chorus girls. Some have even married Americans.

I participated in the Hessen Nato Jagd last fall. I hope to participate again this year. It was a great hunt and I met some very interesting people as always.

Here are some pictures from that hunt. I beleive I had the second largest Keiler and Hirsch so some other jagd konig had to buy drinks that night.

Here are a few more photos of the Hessen Nato Jagd Knullwald 2010.

The boar made it about 20 meters after the shot through some jack pines which made me think he got away for a minute but we found him once we circled around. quartering away trot 120 meters bullet was in pieces in the front of his far side shoulder/neck. I was dissapointed with the fragmentation but happy with the quick down. 197grn Norma vulkan bullets. 75 kilos after the gut/trachea/toungue was taken out.

Der Streckelegen. You can see the big boar on the right.

That is a viable and possibly likley speculation.

Hello guys,

Just back from Germany were i spent 10 days holidays with wife and daughter. A bit bored of guns, ammos and of the same questions and discussion about what caliber, rifle or scope is best. Tired of testing guns and ammo all year long i was just touring in SchwartzWald (Black Forest). Sorry, i lie a bit cause i get my daughter to her first high seat hunt (saw a stag but was moving so she did't shoot...)We took some pictures of the really nice villages and houses there. Some of these houses are older than the USA, being built in 17 and 18 centuries. People are among the nicest i met everywhere and it was really hard to come back in south of France and come back working. Sorry to say that but truth is truth. Enjoy some pictures. No dead game here!!Hope you'll like them...

Yes, it's the one from Offenburg. We toured around Freudenstadt, Alpishbach, Wolfarch, Gengenbach, Offenburg, Oberndorf, Schilltach while we stay at my friend's mother hotel im Schenkenzell. It was the first time my wife and daughter came to Germany, i'm use to go there for work and hunting 5 to 6 weeks a year. Was in Suhl a week in july, come back for five days hunting, shooting, training in september. Like to be there with good friends.

What cartridge?

Everything you now do is something you have chosen to do. Some people don't want to believe that. But if you're over age twenty-one, your life is what you're making of it. To change your life, you need to change your priorities.
