I have been dealing on the fire now going on 4 years. Never had but one little hiccup in all the trades and transactions I've made. Sent a rather large(to me)MO out last Tuesday 8/30 for a barrel and haven't heard a thing since.I know it's only been 10 days but the lack of any communication has me a little worried. I have pm'ed him at least three times w/no answer. Anything would be welcome news. powdr

Had this sort of concerning situation a couple of times over the years. There was a good reason both times. Last time I learned the poster's wife had a major heart attack. All worked out.

The group hear is about as straight a bunch as I have seen. Have faith for a few more days.

Yeah, I would give it until the weekend. After that see if you can find anyone on here that is friends with the person you are dealing with. Perhaps they can contact them for you. (This is why it is always good to get a phone number. Maybe you can look them up on the net and call them.)

Look under his profile, it will tell you last time he logged on. If he has logged on since you sent pms, might be time to get concerned, but as stated they usually work out.

I agree, if he is logging on and not answering the PMs there is more cause for concern. Until then keep the faith in mankind...

Second, did you take into consideration that there was a holiday
in there?
Third, how is he sending it to you did you get a tracking #?
Fourth, Have you checked his profile?!

I have to disagree, powdr was/is asking for communication from the seller, not that the barrel should be delivered.




The newbie will get over it...or not.

I understand powdr's concern...he's wanting communication. I'm new here, but I've bought, sold, and traded for years over the net and communication is everything. When dealing with someone you've never met, communication keeps the worries and distrust at bay.

Just throwing this out there. One time for a span of weeks, I could not originate a PM. It looked like it was working but no message went out. I could reply to one, just not originate one. It cleared up in short while. miles

I am going on a month and 5 days on another board, sent out funds, person said they received funds and have no product yet. I am in the process of trying to get it handled. my first time too.

also contacted the USPS as i sent out a USPS MO , and the lady said that I am $hit out of luck, they can do nothing.
