I'm not what you call an accomplished welder. But I made better looking beads than that on my first attempts back in high school metal shop.

The robot welder probably joined the union that day and felt it could get away with shoddy work. smile

I like my Brownings.

I noticed that, also.
Almost looks like saltwater corrosion, or something?-though I doubt that is the cause.

If the metal was prepped and clean prior to welding, and if the weld had gotten proper penetration, that would not have happened. It was a poor weld.

There's no penetration on that weld.

Sorry, no Savages were in there... Only thing it could have been was an H&R Handi Rifle?

Safe resides in my back porch, while it's not climate controlled it doesn't go through temp extremes either. Little humidity in the summer and I run a golden rod and a small light bulb also when it's humid.

Fairly obvious the humidity/moisture had it's free will as there wasn't any penetration as has been stated.

ps: Have no opinion on anything else Browning, wouldn't mind an A5 but other than that for the most part they don't do anything for me.
