So I decided to knock the dust off my LK93 and figured I'd swap to the 209's instead of #10's. Got the kit today and thought the breech plug looked a tad odd. Is this right? Seems to be a tiny hole for all the spark to go through. Some kind of venturi effect or something??

Could someone verify that this is how the thing is supposed to look?

Oh, and while you're at it, a little push in the right direction on powder choice would be nice too. I'm thinking 245gr. Powerbelts...

Thanks..

They don't need a very large hole in them and that one looks good to me.
Drop 100gr Pyrodex RS Loose down the barrel, my Knight really like 90 and 100grs behind a 250gr bullet.

Is the lk93 the older woodstocked knight? I have one that i sort of retired but not at home to look at it . if it is, my breech plug was updated several years ago and has a cross milled in it but i think that was to use pellets . i have been considering updating to the 209 kit and unretiring the gun but couldnt find one . where can i find one and what is cost?

The standard hole in a breech plug is uually .028, use a #65 drill bit, (.035) and drill it out. My Knight loves BlackHorn209 powder, but that powder does'nt work well with Powerbelts.
