Thinking about picking one up... special-purpose application (calling raccoons) and .22 WMR seems to be the popular ticket for anchoring them with minimal pelt damage. I've blown up too many close critters over the years with 22-250 and .223, and I don't want to shred them at close range with a shotgun, either.

Sold my last .22 WMR a few years ago, so... this flashy model kind of catches my eye... something different (laminated stock, spiral-fluted heavy barrel).

Anybody shot one?

OK... that may have beena bit too specific. Has anyone shot any of the more recent vintage Savage 93 models in 22 WMR?
