There was a state dinner at the Whithouse for Queen Elizabeth during the Ford Administration. The Captain and Tennille performed after and sang....you guessed it, Muskrat Love. The performance was carried live on one of the networks. I wonder how many in attendance had the good sense to be embarrassed?

I actually like the Neudies. I don't know that I could wear one, but Rex Allen, Little Jimmy Dickens, and of course Gram Parsons looked pretty spiffy in his. Nudie Cohn, that guy was an original and did western fashion like only a foreigner could get it wrong. That raunchy, pounding music bent their brains and influenced a generation. These poor souls entered the working world, their minds full of Jell-O and pea soup.
