Leupold has added anew Revenge series to the Redfield line up....does anyone know if these are still being built in the USA ? They make a big point to let us know that the Revolution is made here, but not the Revenge.......it also seems like a lot of price overlap to me........anyone have any further insight?

I like the fast focus eyepiece, and the price. A 2-7 will likely sit on my Marlin guide gun next fall.

I have a feeling they might not be...if they are the older redfields will be on a heck of a closeout. I like that the revenge doesn't seem like it has all the big red print on it.
I also like what I think will be lift and reset turrets.
On the "bad" looks like the accurange reticle is gone on the 2-7 scope.

The Redfield Revolution will still be made in the US. It will have a price increase however. The Revenge will be made off-shore.

As soon as word gets out that Leupold is marketing something that was made off shore. There will be idiots that chime in that "they'll never buy another leupold product again" when Leupold has done a heck of a job keeping jobs in America and will continue to do so. It's just inevitable that to stay viable in todays market place they have to have a "off shore" product like so many of its competitors do.
My hats off to leupold for it's efforts and good service.

I personally don't care where they are made as long as the quality is where it needs to be. Just wondering how the two Redfield lines would make sense. I can see having the revolution go up, and have the revenge be the entry level. What does concern me is that it very difficult to be everything to everybody. Leupold is walking a fine line by trying to offer products at every price point......history shows this does not work

Just off the phone with leupold cs and the revenge scope is made off shore and the revolution will be going up in price aprox. 100 dollars from where they sit now and will happen real soon so if you want the best deal on a scope you better jump on a revolution now.

Having owned a Redfield Revolution I think it fits in well at it's current price. However, if it's really going up $100 in price, it will be a rip off, because you can get much better scopes for not much more than what it sells for now from competing companies. For $100 more, you could certainly do a lot better.

I agree. The new VX-1 for 229.00 seems like a pretty safe bet.

I'd love a resetable crank up turret.
Is the revolution turret numbered?
Is there any way to set it to a zero once you've found a load??
Lastly....does it track good?

cabelas already bumped the price on the revolution, I paid 169.00 for my 3-9 accu-range, its now 199.00. Thats not up 100.00 so hopefully thats the full increase- we will see.
For the quality I'll buy another at 199.00

Lots of Leupold stuff is made offshore. Only the scopes are made here.

Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a hunting license and that's pretty close.

Don't forget Golden Ring spotting scopes, alumina accessories, and mounting systems.
